You’re definitely a sports betting underdog lover if you’re hoping LeBron James can lead Cleveland to a victory over Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and company in James’ eighth straight final appearance. But hey, anything can happen. The favorites often lose and injuries are unpredictable. According to bet365 on May 29, Golden State is 12-point favorites at 10/11 to take game one and are 1/11 to take the series with Cleveland 7/1 to win the title.*
The moneyline for the first game, a home outing for the Warriors, isn’t really close either with Golden State at 2/19 and Cleveland 25/4. If you’re interested in wagering on the Over/Under, bet365 lists it at 214.5 points in game one at 10/11 for each. You can also back the first team to score 20 points for the contest with Cleveland 41/20 and Golden State at 20/53.
There’s definitely enough wagering markets at bet365 to keep even the most neutral of basketball fans interested. Some of the most popular of these are the finals MVP, winning margins, team-with-the-highest-scoring quarter, odd/even scoring and/or game totals, and the alternative point spread.
