Six of the top-10 favorites to win the World Cup have been sent packing as the tournament now reaches the semifinal stage. Brazil, who were 4/1 favorites to take the title at bet365 back on May 31, flew home early along with Germany, who were 9/2, Spain 6/1, Argentina 9/1, Portugal 25/1 and Uruguay who were 28/1 before the action kicked off.

The two semifinals feature Belgium taking on France July, 10 with England and Croatia meeting the next day. The current bet365 odds as of July 8 listed France as 31/20 favorites to take care of Belgium with the Belgians at 21/10 and a 90-minute draw at 9/4. In the other contest, England are favored at 11/8 over Croatia 5/2 with a draw coming in at 21/10.
When it comes to the latest overall odds of winning the Jules Rimet Trophy, France is favored at 2/1, followed by England and Belgium who are both 11/4 and Croatia as the underdog at 4/1. Back on May 31, France was listed at 13/2, Belgium 11/1, England 16/1 and Croatia at 33/1.
Of course, the Golden Boot is also still up for grabs as the tournament’s top goalscorer. England’s Harry Kane is in the driver’s seat right now with his six goals and is favored at 1/7. He’s followed by Romelu Lukaku (4 goals) of Belgium at 10/1 and then France’s Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann (3 goals each) at 25/1.
There are still a few outsiders who have a slight chance to get hot in their final two games as Belgium’s Eden Hazard (2 goals) is listed at 200/1, Croatia’s Luka Modric (2 goals) is 250/1, and England’s Jesse Lingard and Dele Alli (1 goal each) are both listed at 300/1. If you’re really looking for a longshot, then you can back Adnan Januzaj (1 goal) of Belgium, Marcus Rashford (0 goals) of England and France’s Ousmane Dembele (0 goals) at 1000/1 each.
