Red Bull new boy Daniel Ricciardo says he aims to learn from team-mate Sebastian Vettel before thinking about trying to beat the four-time defending world champion. Former Red Bull driver Mark Webber has suggested that his fellow Australian could quickly become more than a match for Vettel, especially in qualifying, but Ricciardo is far more circumspect. “I won’t say I’ll come out and beat him, because until I do that, I don’t want to say anything,” Ricciardo said. “But of course I’d love to. “Obviously we know the calibre of driver he is, so the first thing is I’ve got to learn from him, respect what he does and then try to match him.” The 2014 Formula 1 season gets underway in Australia on 16th March, with Vettel 7/4 with bet365 to secure a fifth consecutive world drivers’ title. Ricciardo is 33/1 to be crowned champion, with the Australian having never finished higher than seventh in a Grand Prix.
