Nico Rosberg feels Mercedes has the fastest car on the grid but he insists his team will not be complacent. Rosberg won the season opener in Australia after team-mate Lewis Hamilton had qualified in pole position, but he was forced to retire in the race itself. The German feels Mercedes have the quickest car at present but he is aware their rivals will be seeking to close the gap. “We look to be the quickest at the moment which is fantastic, but again we need to be careful with that – the opposition are not asleep and they are pushing like crazy,” he said in the Drivers’ Press Conference. “At the moment it seems we have a bit of an advantage over the other people. However, Melbourne is not a benchmark as a race so we need to be a bit cautious with that, but we are looking good and it should be possible to do a great result here [Malaysia].” Rosberg is 2/1 with bet365 to win the Malaysian GP on Sunday and Hamilton can be backed at 13/8.
